Our Story

“Good food tastes even better when it is made with fire and shared with people.”

It began with Mrs. James, a family recipe, and a small grill in Lisbon.
Long before Grills lit its first flame in Fiji, there was Mrs. James — whose grilled chicken drew neighbours from across Lisbon for a single, closely-kept recipe.

Her daughter Kate and husband Christopher carried that recipe across the world, opening Grills to honour it: the same spices, the same open flame, now basted in Portuguese peri and served to the islands.
